Here Today: 5.12.2010

Today was a traveling day. San Francisco to Santa Fe . . .

We crossed the Sierra Nevada.

We found the country of adobe and big sky.

We drank Santa Fe Pale Ale and had a fine meal at the Galisteo Bistro.

A good start to a week-long stay.

    Superlatives

A Perfect Day to See Denali Do you ever get tired of using the same old words to describe something — can I say it just once — “amazing”? Consider the white-fisted mountains that knock the breath right out of you, or the sinuous body of a glacial river that silvers along in the late-day…

  2. Tigress: You're not the only one to rave about the Waves. I hope to get there this weekend.

Denise: This is my first visit to Santa Fe; it's an astonishing place and I'm loving it. The wind is coming up and they're saying it may even snow tonight. I'm totally unprepared for that, yet somehow ready for anything.
